Mid Century Aluminum Christmas Tree ~ Princess Pine

About 10 years ago when we first moved into our house my mother in law gave me her mother's (affectionately known as "Grammo") aluminum "Princess Pine" Christmas tree. It is a fantastic mid-century aluminum tree made by Bellastra Inc. in Don Mills; Ontario, Canada. Overall the condition is pretty good. However the tinsel from the branches sheds a wee bit!
We haven't set it up for several years and decided we would this year.

Original box

branches, poles and metal tri-pod stand
and the set-up begins

I found the perfect vintage, lighted angel tree topper made by Universal lites for $1.99 and best of all~ it still works! It has its original box with a price of $7.99 from Miracle Mart. Don't you think that's a bit expensive!?! I guess I'm use to second hand prices and not retail.

Isn't she pretty!

Here she is all a glow!

You better watch out...
You better not pout...
Santa Claus is coming to town!

Heading over to Colorado Lady for Vintage Thingie Thursday and
The Thrifty Groove for Thrifty Things Friday.

Until we thrift again...

    1. Thanks Jill! My husband has fond memories of this tree growing up. It was always set up by the family parrot's cage and used to always fall on it.

  4. You have a keeper with this little tree. They used to be all the go and now are making a comeback. Very pricey if you buy one.
