What I left behind...

Yesterday I went to my local Salvation Army. I like to go on Mondays because they tend to have a lot of merch from weekend donations. I actually only bought one item which I'll post about later but here are some of the vintage items I left behind...

Straight from the 70s! So Retro and Canadian made!! These are the "Power-Roller" blue suede jogging shoe skate. They are in great condition, barely worn and come complete with their original box. They were priced at $14.99 unfortunately they were too small for me (size 6). Growing up we had a local roller rink that we used to visit on the weekends. I had a pair of white boot roller skates which I loved!

Here you have a vintage young boys two-piece leisure suit. It appears to be hand made and priced at $7.99. Looks like a suit Juan Epstein from Welcome Back Kotter might of worn! I'm all for vintage kids clothes but there is just a little too much polyester for my taste.

A Hudson Leather motorcycle vest. This company is based in Ohio and still make these vests. This is a ladies vertical braided vest priced right at $9.99!

A set of 6 vintage Pyrex milk glass mugs and matching saucers in the Morning Blue pattern. Priced right at 49 cents a piece! Not loving this pattern so I left them behind.

A 1950s Japan made "Cookie House" cookie jar! I totally would of bought this for $2.99 but upon further inspection there was just too many cracks and chips to make it worth it.

Would you of taken any of these vintage items home with you?

Until we thrift again...

    1. That's funny! I have a 6 year old and I did consider buying it just so I could see him in it!

  3. I would have been disappointed with the cracks on the cookie jar too - it's so cute but I probably would have left it on the shelf too.

    1. We had those roller skates - except they were 'Pony' brand, but same colours. I broke my arm wearing those roller skates.
