Spooky Mummy Candle Jars

We have been wanting to make this craft since we visited Upper Canada Village's Pumpkinferno. These jars were displayed as center pieces on the tables at the Willard's Hotel restaurant.

The carved pumpkins at Pumpkinferno are realistic but fake! The molds have been formed from real pumpkins and have been designed and carved by artists from Eastern Ontario. They were fantastic! Well worth the hour and half drive it took us to visit.

This week while thrifting I found supplies for Haakon to create his own Mummy candle jar. Using a recycled glass jar, white streamers and googly eyes.

At the BFM (Bibles For Missions Thrift Store) I found all the necessary supplies for less then what the dollar store charges. As you can see the supplies are new in the package.

You will also need white glue, an empty jar and scissors.

The craft was simple enough for Haakon to do on his own. Brush the white glue on your jar, stick on strips of white streamers until the jar is completely covered, then glue on two googly eyes. Viola! You have a spooky mummy candle jar. Lastly, insert a tea light.

Have a great weekend,

AJ
