Slacking on my thrifty finds

So things have been pretty busy around here so I haven't really given my blog the attention it deserves!
Amidst the chaos of home life I did manage to get out and do a little thrifting. Here are a few of my favourite finds from this past month.

I spent a total of $7 on all the items featured above...

I picked up this chalkware monkey cookie jar. Not sure of the age and it's not marked. What drew me to this jar was the banana hat lid! What do you think? Is it a keeper...

Vintage Federal milk glass mixing bowl with yellow daisy and scroll pattern. This was a steal at $1.99! It's been so long since I've found any vintage Pyrex, Federal or FireKing bowls.

Another cute and whimsical Irish linen tea towel to add to my growing collection. Prefect for Easter!

Not sure if this is a dream pet but it definitely has the appearance of one. I love the "hope" repeat printed fabric. I thought it would be cute as an ornament on my Christmas tree. This was the only item I bought a my first church Rummage sale of the season and it cost me a mere 50cents!

Heading over to Sir Thrift A Lot's Thriftasaurus

Until we thrift again...

  1. My favourite find of yours is the tea towel - I can't get enough FUN tea towels! Closet is full of 'em. I love the monkey's face, but she wouldn't be at home in my collection.

    2. Astrid, i wonder if you would be willing to sell that Monkey Cookie Jar. My hubby gave this same Cookie Jar to my granddaughter and her cats broke it. Please let me know if your willing to part with it. Thank you, Mary

  5. Love that bowl! I actually like the designs/graphics on some of the old Federal bowls better than (gasp) Pyrex! Nice finds!
